This page gives power ratings for some common lights
all rateings are aproxamated. if you have a meter that can
measure amps, use it, not this list (all are for 120 volts)

Also note that that a sets power raring may be listed
on the tag near the plug.. or also on the instruction
sheet that came with it

Be aware that I'm no longer updating this section, so it
does not have info on the more modern lights.
I'm still keeping it in place for historical purposes.

To calculate values:

watts = volts * amps
volts = watts / amps
amps = watts / volts

I made a simple program that
calculates these so I don't
have to try and remember
those formilas...
